On this page we will list upcoming events and educational opportunities for LOTE teachers from related, non-profit organizations.
The Summer Language Institute offered by Southern Oregon University enables you to earn your Master’s degree, hone your teaching expertise, sharpen our language skills and deepen your cultural understanding.
Are you a language teacher, but don’t need a Master’s degree? Earn graduate credits, renew your certification, or simply gain new skills to be a better teacher.
The program is limited to 22 new participants each summer. Master’s candidates must be currently teaching Spanish or French at the elementary, middle school, high school or community college level and must have taught for at least one year. Non-Master’s applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and either be a current teacher or pursuing a teaching career.
Application deadline is March 2, 2017. For details on how to apply, dates of summer sessions, details about coursework, faculty biographies, financial aid information and more, call 541-552-6113, see the contact information below, or visit sou.edu/sli/.
